There is also an animal themed children’s water park replete with inflatable play equipment, water slide and rubber tires for hire. There is an additional 25m heated pool, with both the main pools heated to 26 degrees. Lifeguards patrol all the swimming pools and the adjoining grassy spaces are covered with trees. Manly Swimming Pool.
A pristine 25m in-ground swimming pool heated to a balmy 28 degrees tucked away beside Manly foreshore and Marina, adjacent to Manly Park. This small Southside swimming pool features a long waterslide, great for older kids and not so old adults. There is a poolside kiosk for purchasing the all important summer ice creams and snacks, and sells all the necessary swimming gear for when one of the kids forgets their goggles. The pool has disability access and there is a grassed area which provides space for a picnic blanket and for the adults to catch some sun whilst watching the kids frolic.
Chermside Swimming Pool
The Chermside Swimming Pool located on the Northside of Brisbane is home to the largest aquatic park in Brisbane. The main facilities of the swimming complex include a 25 metre heated outdoor lap pool and a fitness complex that includes an indoor 16 metre activities swimming pool. There is also a kiosk and the centre offers swimming lessons that cater for all ages. As part of the swimming complex is the aquatic park, there is a separate entry fee into the aquatic park, where kids and adults alike can choose from 6 different water slides totally over 200m of slippery slide action! Wynnum Tidal Swimming Pool
The Wynnum tidal swimming pool was originally built in the days of the great depression to provide some measure of relief for families living on the Southside of Brisbane. It is situated in a stunning location along the Wynnum foreshore and takes full advantage of
the nearby park where picnic and BBQ facilities abound. There is an adjacent whale themed water park for the younger kids to play, and the main tidal pool features a small water slide to entertain the older ones. The swimming pool is tidal, although it never completely drains of water. A visit to the Wynnum tidal pool can be a great outing for all the family, with great cafés nearby and a spectacular vista to enjoy.
Settlement Cove Swimming Pool
More a lagoon than a swimming pool, this Northside aqua park is located on the shore at Redcliffe is a water park paradise. The large central lagoon has a variety of places to play, with a fenced off swimming pool area which is well shaded and decorated with water features and mushrooms. Along the edge of the main lagoon are sandy areas perfect for sandcastles and shallow waters for children to splash about. The lagoon deepens toward the centre where there is an island with rocky outcrops to explore. At the far end of the lagoon is a faux river, good for wading about and exploring the formations.
The lagoon is surrounded by ample park space including shaded areas and BBQ facilities. The surrounding areas are raised giving a good vantage point to watch the kids whilst enjoying the idyllic surrounds.
